Just realised that it has been a long time since I posted on the blog. Things have been hectic the last couple of months as we continue to deliver hundreds of caricatures.
The larger prints are still as popular as ever and more and more seem to be going for the large group caricatures.
As we enter the warmer months it is time to get ready for the rise in wedding orders. We always seem to produce quite a lot at this time of year.

This year seems to be flying by. It does not seem 2 months ago that we were finishing off our Christmas orders and now it is almost Mother's Day (next Sunday!). Speaking of which...Monday is the last day for any Mother's Day orders you may wish to place.

Did you know that we can produce your caricature to virtually any size? Our current sizes include everything from a small 6" x 4" print right through to an A2 sized print. The A2 size is approximately 59.4cm x 42cm or approximately 23" x 16.5". If you want anything larger then just let us know.

This time next month and it will be St.Patrick's Day. So, we have a couple of special offers for a quick gift for the Irish person you know. We've got the backgrounds ready (or you can describe your own).

We seem to be producing quite a lot of 'shopping' caricatures this week. Ones with ladies with lots of bags, stood outside posh shops, with boyfriend in the background (usually next to some exotic car).
One of the more exciting ones this week was for someone wing walking on a plane flying over the Yorkshire Dales. Another 'plane' themed caricature was for an old fashioned bi-plane but with the colours of Arsenal and sporting the Arsenal logo on the tail.
The first order today was for a Darth Vader caricature. Yep, another Star Wars caricature this week. I've lost count but it must be over half a dozen.

Where's my Valentine card then? Hopefully that won't be what you heard today, especially if you managed to get one of our Valentine Caricatures!
We produced a record number this year so thanks to all our new customers and returning friends.

I've been thinking about the size of caricatures we show on the website. I noticed a while ago that I put some larger versions on this blog. So, a question:

"Do you want to see larger caricature images on the website?"

OK, so another question:

"What else do you want to see on the website?"

Well, the new printing fulfilment has started and I must say that the quality surpasses even our expectations. This new process will free up more time for us to concentrate on the actual orders themselves and to offer many more print sizes than before - right up to 2 metres!!

We have been extremely busy with orders over the past week - hence the absence of many posts on our blog. Again, we have been amazed at how incredibly diverse the descriptions have been this week. Everything from turning a couple in to a chimp and a banana (yes, a banana!!) through to ...well, just take a look through our website to see many of the crazy drawing we produce each and every day.

Torvill and Dean - remember them? A recent request for an ice skating duo ended up with us producing this ice skating caricature.

Caricatures for couples seem to have been very popular this month and it is always nice producing them for the happy couple.

Well, it's February tomorrow and no doubt the last rush for those Valentine caricatures will start.

Forgot to mention that we are now using a new professional print service meaning even higher quality copies of your caricature!

Do you know, some people can be quite humourous with their requests. We had one a few days ago to create a caricature of a man on the body of a kangaroo complete with an outback setting. Poor fella! This was a gift for someone emigrating to Australia.

I watched the latest of the Rocky films today - Rocky Balboa. How many more films will he make!! Anyway, that got me thinking that we really must produce some more boxing caricatures.

Do you ever get that Monday morning feeling? I always remember walking in to an office environment many years ago and seeing a line of caricatures on the wall. We regularly produce 'galleries' for offices. Instead of the usual mug shots many companies are now opting for something with a little more humour. We have created dozens of caricatures for our estate agent clients. Did you know we have featured in magazines?

Well, it's fast approaching the end of the month and only a few days left to get those Valentine caricatures done. More work has been done on the site and we shall soon have a new payment page to allow more options when ordering. We are constantly looking for new ideas so if you would like to see something please get in touch.

Got that Friday feeling? Ready for the weekend? Me too. Time for some time off I think, although I will still be checking orders and responding to requests.

Seems like our new Batman theme is starting to increase in popularity. One customer wanted to get ready early for Father's Day with a Batman and Robin caricature.

Well, we produced father and son complete in their respective super hero costumes and placed them in the Bat Cave complete with the Batmobile!

Think I need to start another page, or include fewer pictures. But, then again, that's what we are in the business of producing! Our website visitors love to see lots of pictures of completed caricatures. In fact, our website is growing very quickly and we now attract 1000's of visitors every day. Visitors come from the UK and as far away as Australia. We actually ship worldwide so this is not a problem for us.

Short entry yesterday...can you tell I was busy! Well, it's been another good day. The wind is howling outside but it's nice, snug and friendly inside. Seems like the Mexican theme has been popular with one of our customers who ordered this.

Did you know that we also design logos and marketing materials?

I can't believe it's Monday again, time flies. It's been a particularly busy Monday for us here. We have been doing lots of updates on our website and adding more drawings to give our customers a good insight into what we can produce. The examples are by no means all that we do and we have in fact had a lot of enquiries today about special requests. We are even producing a drawing with a man carrying his beloved car above his head! So if you want something a little unusual then don't hesitate to get in touch.

After another busy week it has been another busy weekend with a large number of orders today. We thought it may be quiet after the Christmas period but it seems our customers are getting ready for Valentine's Day, ordering our popular wedding caricatures, and looking for that special 18th birthday caricature etc.

The one thing that makes us different from all the other caricature sites is our unique photo likeness. Intrigued? Sceptical? Just take a look at some of our celebrity caricatures below:

Well, it's always nice to outshine a ladies handbag! I think it is because a caricature is a truly personalised gift and says that you have spent some time thinking about it.

I just love family caricatures and especially when they opt for a favourite style of mine the Star Wars Caricature.

The small picture here does not do this caricature justice; it is spectacular when printed at full resolution.

It's been another hectic day with lots to do and update.

We are busy getting ready for the post January sales wedding rush when we seem to produce quite a lot of wedding caricatures. You should ask about our newspaper special!

There seem to be a lot of superhero films coming out this year. Perhaps that is why we have had a lot of

requests for these in our caricatures. This is one we've just done - Batman. A bit of an unusual background, perhaps not where you would expect Batman to be, but hey, we can do unusual !

We've been adding some more pages to our website for characters such as Batman and the legendary Superman which is always very popular. If you're looking for a gift for that superhero fanatic then head on over to our films pages for a few ideas.

We are always looking for new ideas so if you have a special request just let us know.

Well I'm glad I've been indoors today and not out in the awful weather we've been having. A busy day for

printing so at least I didn't get wet!

We have had a lot of enquiries today about invitations. It seems that people are getting themselves organised for their parties and want an unusual way of inviting guests.

As is quite usual at this time of year people start thinking of moving on in their careers and we have had some enquiries about retirement and leaving drawings. A personal caricature is a great send off for someone who is leaving and also a great way to remember their time if it is a retirement gift.

We can produce anything you wish so don't worry if it sounds a little odd.

The start of another week and a busy one for us here at DrawMe.co.uk. We have had another enquiry today about a large group order. Our group drawings are becoming increasingly popular as more and more people opt for the unusual gift for a retirement or leaving present. We have just completed a group order in the style of Only Fools and Horses. As you can see we can also include speech bubbles, or text if you prefer. Even if you think your request is a bit unusual, just ask.

It is hard to believe we are in the middle of January already and approaching one of our busiest times as Valentine's Day gets nearer. Our caricatures are proving very popular for Valentines Day, either for "popping the question" or just showing how much you care. Remember 2008 is a leap year!

We have also had some enquiries today about 30th and 40th birthday caricatures. These are very popular and a great idea for that special 21st birthday. Remember, they can also be used for the invitations.

The dark winter nights (and early mornings) are not always pleasant but they certainly can inspire a background for a caricature. This one is for a writer and features a relatively plain yet atmospheric background with a rather eerie feel to it. It's also the 13th today so I just has to put this image up.

Many thanks to everyone who has sent in testimonials lately. They really are very encouraging and we love to hear about what you think of our service. We aim for exceptionally high standards and we think this is evident from the feedback received to date.

We spent quite a bit of time this week on some new pages relating to films.

Although we still have quite a way to go there are some features dedicated to such great characters as Indiana Jones and Lara Croft.

Well, the caricatures of these have already proven VERY popular with several orders received. One customer even wanted a 2 person caricature of Indiana Jones and Lara Croft togther which was finished today.

Did you know we could even draw you with Angelina Jolie or Harrison Ford?

One thing you may wish to consider when ordering your caricature is the pose and facial expression. More customers are sending through some fantastic photos of their 'victims' and this makes for an even better caricature using our incredible photo likeness artwork.

With Valentine's Day fast approaching we have been preparing for the next rush of the year. Our unique gifts have actually been used to help couples propose. They also serve as a unique momento of the special engagement day.

We have many designs ready or you could select your own.

One of my personal favourites in the "Knight in Shining Armour" as shown in the picture opposite. It is colourful, striking, and sums up the romance behind the image.

No strange requests today...just a normal busy day. We received another request for one of our large group caricatures...these are proving to be popular this month!

The weekend is almost upon us and we will try to relax a little. Obviously, due to the sheer volume of orders we produce, we still check on orders on Saturday and Sunday, so if you do need anything just ask.

Well, it was a really busy Christmas for us here at DrawMe.co.uk. We completed a huge amount of caricatures for new customers and our returning friends. As we enter 2008 we thought we would share some of our daily news with you through this new blog...hey, everyone else has one so why shouldn't we!!

Yesterday we had an enquiry from a new customer wanting an urgent group caricature. However, it had to be of the six people as heads on Mount Rushmore...and she wanted it for delivery on Saturday 12th January.

Well, the order was placed this morning, completed this afternoon and out in the post via Royal Mail Special Delivery.

This was a new style for us but, once again, we feel that the result justifies the time spent on it. It looks stunning in the framed A3 size!
